Overview
During Jio's annual three-day Christmas celebration at Jio Garden, Mumbai, attended by thousands of families and children, Jio's event team wanted to create an interactive gaming experience that blended fun, technology, and festive spirit.
They approached Crenspire Technologies to build a Pokémon Go–like Augmented Reality (AR) game — but with only 10 days to deliver before the event.
Despite the tight timeline, Crenspire accepted the challenge and developed FRUITMAS, a web-based AR game that captivated kids and parents alike, bringing a joyful digital twist to Jio's Christmas celebration.

Problem
Jio's goal was to offer kids an innovative and contact-free activity that could be easily accessed without app downloads.
The concept was ambitious — to use AR in a real-world environment — but time was short.
The challenge was to build an engaging, mobile-friendly, browser-based AR experience with real-time interaction, tracking, and leaderboard management within just a week.

Solution
Crenspire designed and developed FRUITMAS, a lightweight yet powerful web-based AR game.
Players scanned a QR code using their iPhone camera or Google Lens to enter. They simply entered their name and number, granted camera permission, and the fun began.
Fruits appeared in real space through the camera, and kids tapped on them to collect points. The game featured Hamleys' mascot, who guided players and collected fruits.
A custom backend let admins upload 3D fruit models, set point values, and manage a live leaderboard to announce hourly winners.
The project was completed in just 7 days, and over 3,000 children enjoyed playing FRUITMAS during the event — turning Jio's Christmas celebration into a memorable tech-driven experience.
